Full-time Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Pop Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Full-time LICENSED OR LICENSE ELIGIBLE LCPC or LCSW to work with an interdisciplinary team at a DIR/play based therapy clinic. This is a great opportunity for an entry level or seasoned clinician to work with a

multi-disciplinary team in a milieu environment with the support and energy of an amazing group of clinicians. Responsibilities include initial intakes, individual and group therapy services, and collaboration with POP staff that includes occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and recreational therapy. This is an ideal position for anyone that enjoys working WITH CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND FAMILIES in a collaborative setting with a strong team of providers.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work or psychology from a university accredited program.

Current Illinois State LSW or LPC required, but LCSW or LCPC preferred.

Work or internship experience in a health care, child welfare or mental health setting preferred.

Experience working with children and families.

Ability to think proactively, creatively, and take initiative appropriately. Demonstrates excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work as part of multiple teams.

Stamina and energy to maintain direct patient contact on a regular basis, to coordinate multiple demands made on time and to fulfill on call requirements as assigned.

Responsibilities

Performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of children and families

Provides individual, family and group therapy to children and families

Collaborates and provides clinical consultation as needed with team members across the continuum

Collaborates and consults with schools, social service agencies, physicians, and other collateral contacts through oral and written presentation of clinical findings and recommendations.

Completes all case management duties of the assigned cases including completion of the diagnostic evaluations, necessary referrals, school advocacy, and other referrals to appropriate support services as needed.

Participates in group and individual supervision, staffings, educational presentations, clinic meetings, and case conferences, etc.

Maintains clinical documentation in a thorough and timely manner

Performs job functions adhering to the principle of fostering development through the power of play through providing the highest quality of innovative care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others.
